Page xxxiii misbound with unnumbered preliminaries. Repairs to verso of folding map. With tipped in or glued signatures at front ( of clippings from envelopes or letters) including those of Ross addressed to Lord Borington; two addressed to Captain Raggett (aboard both HM Ship Defiance and HMS Albion) and Admiral Geo. Campbell. Vol II the Appendix has water tidemarks at the margins to the ffeps and frontispiece and title page; minor endpaper foxing, clean text and constitutes the reports upon peoples, vocabulary, natural history and scientific observations, surgeon's report, biography of the crew, lat & long places; and the list of subscribers. Includes 20 plates, several colored.
