Post WWII issuance, circa late 40's or early 50's. Very humerous look at boating, as to be expected both in text and illustrations 'fuel records are another valuable reason for keeping a log. When you run out of gas on a lee shore with no tow in sight, it's a great satisfaction to check the log and find that the boat really hasn't been burning fuel any faster than usual. In fact, according to past performance, you've been running for the last three hours on bilge fumes and tank vapor. Then too, instead of a boring session of acey-deucey while awaiting rescue, you can pass the time figuring fuel consumption to the fifteenth decimal point.' This is stated as a 'sequel' to the previous pre WWII Secrets of the Deep series.
