'One of the objectives was to demonstrate that it was possible to fly an aircraft, taken from the air transport inventory, anywhere in the world. Demonstration that the flight was successfully completed within current air traffic control requirements illustrates that today's navigation equipment and techniques are adequate. The flight also furthered the navigation sciences; it was demonstrated that three-dimension celestial positioning was feasible. Application to space navigation must still be implemented, but the theory has now been proven'. Price:
